The customer's challenge

Since 1977, Svetruck has supplied forklifts, container handlers and timber handling machines worldwide with the concept of genuine and reliable quality machines with the very best of modern technology. Today, Svetruck is one of the leading manufacturers of forklift trucks. Already in the early 2000s, Svetruck began to receive requests from its customers about the possibility to analyze the data collected in the machine. Customers asked for a way to measuring specific key figures, but there was also a great demand for monitoring operating data and being able to follow-up the machines. Since then, Svetruck has tested several different Fleet systems where the suppliers did not quite meet their needs.

 

 

Solution

In 2012, Svetruck chose to work with Dasa Fleet Management and has been a satisfied customer ever since. Dasa Fleet Management is adapted to Svetruck's machines both by offering correct key figures to their particular business but also with their desired design. With Dasa Fleet Management system, Svetruck also got the function of different access levels where their customer can tag a specific driver and view data linked to his operator level.

"One of the reasons why we are so satisfied is that we can adapt it to fit our business. We have built our system together with Dasa with both our desired features and by them creating functions that we did not even know we needed. Dasa as a supplier is very cooperative and finds solutions for our challenges," says Svetruck.

Results

After implementing Dasa Fleet Management, Svetruck has reduced a big amount of travelling time for their staff as they can now update the machines remotely without sending a service technician to the site. Svetruck can also, with the customer's approval, diagnose the machine via direct connection or help the customer with optimization and settings, which means that they rarely need to send out service personnel.

"With the data we receive from Fleet Management, we have been able to create and launch functions such as the Eco mode. This means that the operator can reduce the fuel consumption without affecting performance - by creating a driver support on connections to the drive pedal and the engine, we manage to achieve a big saving both on cost and the environment ” says Svetruck.

Svetruck has used Dasa Fleet since 2012 and all of their machines today are sold with the associated Fleet system.
