System units

An optional number of the following units can be specified and connected to the system.

d5MC (Main Controller)

d5MC is the system's main controller (MC). The MC has a signal processor (DSP) for managing the other units via a CAN Bus to the vehicle, together with an XScale processor for managing communications and the user interface.

From the MC, a choice of one, two or three CAN Buses can be run out to various vehicle function receivers or senders. Other dasa5 units are connected at appropriate points.

d5I012
I/O-unit with 12 individually programmable inputs or outputs. A flexible unit that meets various demans. Inputs for current, voltage, frquency and counter. Outputs PWM for servo valves, digital or analog, max rating 3A.

d5I012R
I/O-unit with 12 individually programmable inputs or outputs. Outputs have a rating of 5A and can be paralelled to 10A. The inputs are digital.

d5I012D
I/O-unit with 12 individually programmable inputs or outputs. The inputs are digital and the outputs are low-power outputs for analogue DC (Danfoss).

d5I048
I/O-unit for up to 48 digital outputs and 48 digital or analog inputs for low-power.

d5HP2
I/O-unit for 2 outputs with maximum 13 A PWM or digital for pumps or work lights. The outputs can be connected in parallel for a rating of 26A.

dxWB

A unit that establishes a wireless data link to CAN bus and/or Ethernet networks for communications up to a distance of 100 meters.

d5CB
A unit for translating between external CAN protocol and dasa5. The translation tables are defined in the development tool, stored in d5MC and are uploaded to the respective d5CB at system start.

An optional number of the above mentioned units can be specified and connected to the system.

d5CI12

A unit capable of performing time-critical calculations in real time, e.g. bucking calculations in forest harvesters. The unit also has 12 programmable inputs. All of the inputs can be digital. Furthermore, some of the inputs can be programmed as voltage inputs, frequency inputs, 2-channel pulse inputs or counters.

dxDI7/ dxDI10

7 inch or 10 inch widescreen, touch-screen colour display. The unit has a VGA connection to the d5MC, together with 2 analogue camera inputs for e.g. reversing camera. The unit can be used both as a presentation unit for machine data and reversing camera, and as a programming unit for machine settings.

An optional number of the various units van be configured to the MC in the system.

dxPC

dxPC is a mobile Windows-based personal computer designed for the demanding environment of heavy vehicles. The computer consists of a 12 inch colour touch screen a robust computer unit encapsulated in a strong aluminium cover, and an environment adapted keyboard with a trackball.

Screen and computer can be mounted as a single unit with the computer fixed on the back of the screen. The screen and computer can also be mounted individually, up to three metres from each other, thus facilitating fitting in various cabs and
environments.

dxPC has three CAN bus connections and is prepared for connection to dasa4 and dasa5 control and communication systems.
